POD "How Much is that Dress in the Window??"

Spent a lazy Sunday walking around and exploring el centro de la ciudad (the city center) of el Puerto de Santa Maria. TOO many great pics to choose just one photo of the day... but I went with the gorgeous feria dresses in the window front. Feria season will be here in NO time. Buy your dresses now and get your party hats on, people!

POD "Torero Mateo"

Easily the photo of the day. So we have this wardroom function at a local bar/restaurant and part of the deal is we get to play torero(matador) with this "BABY" bull. So I figured of course i'll do this. Once in a lifetime right? Well after dinner they corral us out to the bull ring, and I can't help but think "So in America we have bars with volley ball courts and here you have bars with bull rings?"
Well we can hear this monstrous beast snorting and huffing and kicking around in the back of this truck. Well, when they finally let the "baby" bull out, he was rearing and ready to roll and kick some stupid American ass. :) Needless to say, I did NOT participate. Matt, on the other hand, waited until the bull was a bit tired and had used most of it's energy on chasing other silly Americans around the ring. Smart man. This is why I married him. :)

POD "Choo-choo Catepillars"

So I spent an hour walking around El Puerto with Takoda looking for a good photo of the day. Got a few good pics, but nothing spectacular. Soooo I walk back through the gate and head to my car and WHAT do I see in the parking lot? THESE lovely little critters!!! Well, I thought they were great. Until, of course, I realize those are the infamous dreaded poisonous pine-tree loving catapillars!!!

POD "Spain Loves Statues"

Europe loves statues. Spain loves statues. I love statues. I love lamp (just kidding). Anyway is just one of many statues. It's a great landmark to use when giving directions. :)

After painting, and LOTS of unpacking... we finally made ourselves a little home here in spain. :) Too bad I can't tackle the office and other bedroom until they re-paint our storage shed. (Stillllll not completely settled. Ahhhhh well).
