POD "An Evening in Rota"

Last night, Mom, Matt and I headed into Rota for some Tapas hopping. The Spanish enjoy eating the small portion dishes, tapas, so much that they have gone as far as creating a verb that means just that: Tapear. Tapear means "to eat tapas."
So, we did a little walking, a little evening exploring, and of course a little tapeando. :) Unfortunately, we also did a little bit too much of something else so some of us aren't feeling the best this morning. Whoops! Ah well, it will wear off. It was a great night!

POD "Mama está aquí!

The photo of the day is more than just a picture. It's an enthusiastic announcement! Hence why I needed three photos to fill the quota. The announcement?
Mi mama está aquí!!! :) AKA: My mom is here!!! :)
We met in Madrid yesterday morning and took the train back down south to our home in Andalucia. The train ride was great and Mom didn't sleep so she was able to check out the sweet Spanish countryside.
Mom scoping out the scenery.
Mom's first castle sighting!
Mom's first pic off the train in the beautiful 74 degree fall weather. Note, she does not like photos taken of herself, hence the wrinkly nose. ;)
Lots more photos to come! We are going to have SO much fun!!!

POD "Fields of White"

I cannot believe my mom arrives in Spain this morning! I helped her to book these flights over six months ago and at that time, it seemed like it was forever away. And now it's here! I can't wait to show her our new home. The beaches, the small streets of the quaint pueblo blancos and the grand plazas in Sevilla. We are going to have SO much fun and there will be SO many pictures to share.
Today's POD is a shot we recently snagged (Matt took the bottom photo of me) of the AMAZING cotton fields you can find all across the countryside around us. I know they are starting to cut these down and harvest the cotton, so I'm SO happy I was able to get a picture JUST incase mom isn't able to see them. So beautiful.
Ah well, I'm off! I've got a plane to Madrid to catch to meet my foreign non-spanish speaking mother. :)See you back here soon with LOTS of fun photos and stories!
