The Algarve Coast of Portugal

Well, if it appears I have neglected the blog a tad this week, you are right! The last two weeks have been very busy with Navy happenings, Matt's birthday, going away to portugal, and then our anniversary this week. Great times, just very busy!

This blog post is just a taste of the pictures I took during our trip to Portugal this past weekend. It was a quick weekend, over on Friday and back on Sunday, but it was worth it. We headed only about 3 1/2 hours away to the Algarve coast of southern Portugal. The Algarve coast is known for it's rocky, cliff strewn coastline dotted with small secluded beaches. Matt picked out a great hotel that was only blocks away from one of Portugal's most famous beaches: Dona Ana (PS. there should be a ~ over the n on Dona... but i'm too lazy to do it... and NO my old ass computer doesn't have the now standard ctrl shortcut keys, so please don't leave me a page long comment as to how to do it!)

Anyway, Dona Ana beach was great, our evening in Lagos was great, the food was great, and on the way home we even stopped at Fiesa (a giant sandsculpture competition held annually) which of course, was also great! Here's a few pictures. You can see all of them on my facebook page. I can't wait to get back to Portugal and get me some mo' PIRI PIRI chicken! YUMMO!
